I was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, but also have  lived in the Kawartha Lakes, London (Ont), Calgary and  the Netherlands prior to permanently relocating to  Australia. I stumbled into Australia by chance when I married a  long-time pen-pal from England who moved here back in the  80’s. Originally from West Van & Kitsalano in Vancouver,  I lived in Japan and Vietnam before coming to Newcastle  in 1997. I moved to Sydney in 2000 and became an  Australian citizen. I’ve been a member since 2004 and I ’m looking forward to returning as Treasurer. It is  going to be an exciting year!

Zach!I hail from Ontario, having called cities of  Windsor, Burlington, Guelph, and Kitchener home over the  years. Upon completing my Computer Science degree at the  University of Guelph, I came down under in 2005 to study  law at Bond University on the sunny Gold Coast. After  five years of life back in Canada, I've returned with my  Aussie partner to settle into my next home. I look  forward to fostering continued good relations between  Canadians and Australians for years to come

Events - Nalini Downie

I hail from central Alberta, not far from those beauteous  Rocky Mountains and the famous Calgary Stampede! I've  lived in almost 15 cities since then, across Canada, and  into the western States before heading overseas. Working  as a Consulting Manager in eHealth, was the vehicle to  Australia about 5 years ago, with an office transfer to  Deloitte Brisbane in 2008 being the driver. Since then,  I've met and married my lovely husband, Ken, and has  worked and travelled across Australia. I look forward to  volunteering as part of the Committee and meeting all the  Club members soon!
