山西位于中國(guó)華北地區(qū)，黃河中游、黃土高原東部。山西簡(jiǎn)稱“晉”，省會(huì)太原。全省

通網(wǎng)絡(luò)。鐵路營(yíng)運(yùn)總里程超過6000公里；公路通車?yán)锍?/SPAN>14.1萬公里，其中高速公路通車?yán)锍坛�過5000公里；現(xiàn)有太原、大同、運(yùn)城、長(zhǎng)治、呂梁、臨汾、五臺(tái)山七個(gè)通航機(jī)場(chǎng)。

山西物產(chǎn)豐富、資源富集，目前已發(fā)現(xiàn)的礦產(chǎn)資源有120多種。其中，查明資源儲(chǔ)量

的有62種；保有資源儲(chǔ)量居全中國(guó)前十位的有36種；具有資源優(yōu)勢(shì)的礦產(chǎn)有煤、煤層氣、鋁土礦、鐵礦、銅礦、金紅石、白云巖、耐火粘土、灰?guī)r、芒硝、石膏、硫鐵礦等13種，其中，煤炭保有資源儲(chǔ)量2767.85億噸，煤層氣保有資源儲(chǔ)量1825.16億立方米，鋁土礦保有資源儲(chǔ)量14.16億噸。

山西歷史悠久、文化燦爛，是中華民族和中華文明的重要發(fā)祥地，有著“中國(guó)古代建

筑藝術(shù)博物館”、“中國(guó)古代文化藝術(shù)寶庫”、“五千年文明看山西”等美譽(yù)。國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)文物保護(hù)單位數(shù)量高居全國(guó)第一；宋金以前的木構(gòu)建筑占全國(guó)同期建筑物的75％以上。

前 言Shanxi is situated in the northern part of China. With a land area of 156,000 km2 and a

population of 37.02 million, Shanxi has jurisdiction over 11 cities and 119 counties. At present,

there are 40 development zones above the provincial level.

Shanxi enjoys a strategic location connecting many provinces along its border. A highly

efficient network of highway, railway and air traffic has been built. By 2017, the mileage of

railways has reached 6000 km, high ways over 141,000 km, including express ways 5000 km. At

present, there are 7 airports in Shanxi, respectively in Taiyuan, Datong, Yuncheng, Changzhi,

Lvliang, Linfen and Wutai Mountain.

Shanxi is rich in mineral resources. At present, the province has 120 kinds of proven

minerals. The reserve of coal, coal seam gas, bauxite, magnesium metal, refractory clay ranks

first in China; the reserve of 36 kinds of minerals listed at the forefront of China, such as, coal,

coal bed methane kaolin, gold, silver, copper, iron, etc.

Shanxi is an important birthplace of Chinese nation and its civilization. It has great culture,

beautiful scenery and many historical relics. Therefor it was titled "Art Museum of Chinese

Ancient Architecture", "Treasure House of China's ancient Culture and Arts", "For five thousand

year civilization, you need to visit Shanxi" and so on.The protection unit number of the

state-level cultural relics ranks first in the country, and the wooden construction buildings

before Song and Jin Dynasty account for more than 75% of the buildings at the same period.

Located in the hinterland of the Bohai Sea economic circle, adjacent to

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Circle, facing the Central Plains Economic Zone, next to the

northwest China, the location of Shanxi province is unique with various policy advantages. As a

comprehensive reform pilot area of national resource-based economy approved by the State

Council, Shanxi province fully enjoys the national policies to promote the rise of the central China

and referentially implements the preferential policies of revitalizing the old industrial base of the

northeast China and the large scale development of the west China.

Shanxi is experiencing rapid economic development, promoted by the rich energy

of Shanxi in 2017 totaled 1497.3 billion yuan, and the investment in the fixed assets reached

572.2 billion yuan.
